The short version
We collect what we need to reply to you, send what you asked for, run the app and bill for it. We don't sell data, show ads or use tracking pixels, and the website sets no cookies.
What we collect, and why
- The free check. The address you enter goes to Google PageSpeed Insights, and our server fetches the page, its
robots.txtand itsllms.txt. The result is held in memory for up to 10 minutes so an emailed report doesn't run the check twice. It isn't stored after that. - The emailed report. Your email address and the address you checked, so we can send the report and follow up about it.
- The contact form. Your name, email, what you need, your website address and anything you write, so we can reply.
- The waiting list. Your email address, to tell you when Speed Care opens.
- Visits to the website. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure loading times. Umami counts visits, where they came from (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link) and clicks on a few buttons: run the free check, send the contact form, join the waiting list, email me the report. None of them use cookies or follow you across other sites. On the free check's result page, Umami records only that the page was viewed, never the address you checked, which stays with us. Our host also keeps short-lived request logs, including IP addresses, for security and rate limiting.
The Speed Care app
- Your account. Your name, email and sign-in details. With Google sign-in we receive your name and email from Google; with a password we store only a secure hash of it. One cookie keeps you signed in.
- Your team and recipients. The names and email addresses of people you invite or choose to receive alerts.
- Your sites. The sites and pages you watch, and the daily figures we read for them from Google's Chrome UX Report. Those figures describe visits in aggregate, not individual visitors.
- Billing. Your business name and tax ID if you give them, and your invoices. Card payments are handled by Razorpay; we see the card brand and last four digits, never the full number.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel hosts the site and the app and runs the analytics (United States).
- Umami runs the website's visit statistics (Umami Cloud).
- Resend sends our email and stores enquiries and report requests as contacts (United States).
- Google runs PageSpeed Insights and the Chrome UX Report, so the addresses you check are sent to Google.
- Razorpay takes card payments for Speed Care (India).
Each of them handles the data only to provide their service to us. Your data may be processed outside your country, in the United States and India.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, report requests and the waiting list: until you ask us to delete them, and no more than two years after we last heard from you.
- A Speed Care account while it is paid for: for as long as it stays paid.
- A Speed Care account that stops paying (trial ended, payment failed or plan cancelled): 90 days from the day checks stop. We email the owner 14 days before we delete it, and paying again within the 90 days brings everything back.
- An account the owner deletes: deleted straight away, and gone from our backups within 30 days.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as Indian tax law requires, even after an account is deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@sitespeedlabs.com and we'll answer within 30 days. Every email from Speed Care has a link at the bottom to change how often you hear from us or to stop.
Our services are for businesses and aren't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and tell Speed Care customers by email.
