# Site Speed Labs > Website speed and AI-readiness, in plain language, for people who are not developers. A free, no-signup check that explains Google PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals results and shows what an AI assistant can read of a page, published fixed prices for having the problems fixed, and a monitoring service that watches for regressions. Measurements come from Google PageSpeed Insights (Lighthouse lab data plus Chrome UX Report field data where the site has enough traffic). Results are always labelled as lab or field, and time savings are shown as an upper bound because Lighthouse per-fix estimates overlap. Agents can run a speed check directly: the MCP server below exposes it as a tool, and the same capability is available as a plain JSON API described by the OpenAPI document. Both are rate limited to 15 requests per minute per IP. A full Lighthouse run takes 10 to 90 seconds depending on the site. ## Tools - [Free check](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/audit): Enter a URL, get a score, three Core Web Vitals, the top fixes in plain language, and an agent view: words readable without JavaScript, robots.txt policy for AI crawlers, llms.txt, structured data. No signup. - [AI-ready websites](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/ai-ready): How an AI assistant reads a site, the nine dimensions of AI readiness, and the fixed-price AI-ready setup. - [MCP server](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/api/mcp): Streamable HTTP (POST). Tools: check_site_speed, get_pricing, email_full_report. Lets an agent run the speed check on a user's behalf. - [Speed check API, OpenAPI 3.1](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/api/openapi.json): POST /api/audit.json with {"url"} returns the summary; POST /api/audit-report.json with {"url","email"} emails the full report. - [API catalog (RFC 9727)](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/.well-known/api-catalog): Linkset pointing at the OpenAPI document and MCP endpoint. - [Agent skill: site-speed-check](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/skills/site-speed-check/SKILL.md): Agent Skills format. Instructions for running a check and reading the result correctly: what lab vs field means, and why per-fix savings must not be summed. - [MCP server card](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json): Endpoint, transport, protocol version and tool names for the MCP server. Draft format (SEP-2127); also at /api/mcp/server-card. - [Agent Skills index](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json): Discovery index (RFC v0.2.0) with a SHA-256 digest of each published skill file. - [Agentic Resource Discovery manifest](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/.well-known/ard.json): Typed entries for the MCP server, skill, API and this file. Draft format; also at /.well-known/ai-catalog.json. ## Pricing - [Pricing page](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/pricing): Every price published. The audit fee comes off whatever comes next: the fix sprint, the WordPress fix or the AI-ready setup. - [Pricing as JSON](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/api/pricing.json): The same tiers as structured data, for quoting accurately. - [WordPress speed fix](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/wordpress): Fixed-price package for WordPress sites: caching, images, plugins, theme code, fonts. Why WordPress sites get slow and what the package covers. - Speed + AI-readiness audit: $249 (one-off). We measure your site properly, fetch it as an assistant would, and hand you a prioritised list of what to fix, in plain language. - Speed fix sprint: from $1,500 (quoted after the audit). We do the work. You get a faster site, not a list of things to do about it. - WordPress speed fix: $799 (one-off, fixed, 5 business days). Caching, images, plugins, theme code and fonts. Staging first. 5 business days. - AI-ready setup: $599 (one-off, 5 business days). Crawler policy, llms.txt, markdown copies, your facts as data, verified from outside. 5 business days. - Speed Care: $20 (per month, or $200 a year). Sites slow down on their own: a plugin update, a new script, a heavier image. This catches it before your customers do. ## Guides - [Can ChatGPT read your website? The JavaScript test](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/ai-crawlers-javascript): Most AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so text your site builds with scripts can be invisible to them. How to check your pages in five minutes, and what fixes it. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/ai-crawlers-javascript.md - [Website speed monitoring: what to watch, and how often](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/website-speed-monitoring): Why Google's own speed data reports a slowdown a week or more late, which free tools to check, and a simple routine that catches problems early. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/website-speed-monitoring.md - [AI crawlers in robots.txt: which to allow, which to block](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/ai-crawlers-robots-txt): GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and the rest each do a different job. What blocking each one costs you, and three robots.txt policies you can copy. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/ai-crawlers-robots-txt.md - [What 'AI-ready' means for a website: nine dimensions, and where ours lands on each](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/making-this-site-readable-by-ai-agents): AI readiness is not one thing. It's nine separate questions, from 'can an agent read this page' to 'can an agent buy from you'. What each one means, what this site has for each, and the ones it deliberately leaves empty. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/making-this-site-readable-by-ai-agents.md - [What Google actually measures when it measures your site speed](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/what-google-actually-measures): Core Web Vitals explained in plain language: what LCP, INP and CLS really mean, the exact thresholds Google uses, and why a site can score 19 out of 100 and still load fine for real visitors. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/what-google-actually-measures.md - [How this site scores 100/100 on PageSpeed: every decision explained](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/how-this-site-scores-100-on-pagespeed): A line-by-line account of what makes sitespeedlabs.com load instantly: one self-hosted font, no framework runtime, inlined CSS, and none of our own JavaScript on any page. Including what we gave up to get there. Markdown: https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/blog/how-this-site-scores-100-on-pagespeed.md ## Optional - [Monitoring app (waiting list)](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/monitoring-app): Planned product; not yet available. - [Contact](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/contact): Enquiry form for the sprint and monitoring tiers. - [Full content as one file](https://www.sitespeedlabs.com/llms-full.txt): Every guide in full, for agents that want everything in a single fetch.
